Our extensive breakfast buffet leaves little to be desired – and if it does, we will be happy to fulfill it.

How can I make a reservation?
You can easily reserve your table online via our website, by phone or directly on site. We recommend booking early, especially for dinners with a view of the Matterhorn and at weekends.
Are group reservations possible?
Yes, we ask you to make a reservation by phone or e-mail for groups of 6 or more.
Is there a no-show fee?
We reserve the right to charge CHF 50.00 per person in the event of no-shows without prior cancellation.
Are dogs allowed?
Please ask us briefly before making your reservation whether you can bring your dog with you.
Are there any vouchers?
Yes – you can order vouchers conveniently online via our website.

Yes, in fine weather we are also happy to serve you on our terrace with a view of the Matterhorn:

Location & Arrival
How far is the restaurant from the center of Zermatt?
The Genepy restaurant is around 20 minutes’ walk from the center of Zermatt – in a quiet location with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn.
How do I get to the Genepy restaurant?
You can easily reach us by bus via the red bus route to Wichje station. From there it is only a few minutes’ walk to the restaurant. The restaurant is also easy to reach on foot.
Directions from Wichje:
1. Cross the large bridge.
2. After approx. 100 m you will see a sign “Hotel Hemizeus”.
3. Turn right and right again, then keep left.
4. After approx. 100 m you will reach the restaurant.
Directions on foot
1. From the station, walk along Bahnhofstrasse to the church.
2. Turn left and cross the church bridge.
3. Then turn right and follow Schluhmattstrasse for approx. 1.1 km.
4. Pass the gondola lift and walk to the next bridge.
5. Cross the bridge – after 100 m you will see the sign “Hotel Hemizeus”.
6. Turn right, right again, then keep left.
7. After approx. 50-100 m you will reach the restaurant.
